The Liverpool Over Head Railway was demolished in 1956. Using reference images found off the internet, books, and from sourcing stock footage I re-created the trains, the Pier Head station, and the railway line as 3D models. Because the buildings, roads and pavements where also different during this time period (1950's), I created 3D models of these also.

Most of the buildings (known as the three Graces of Liverpool) still remain, and to build these I took lots of photographs for reference. Other buildings that once stood where the Railway was located have now also been demolished, and these too where also created in 3D.

The work will soon be available as prints. The animation work so far can be viewed by clicking the appropriate link above. This work will play an integral role in the finished documentary film.
